CNASU Message

Ayush Starting a new school year is always an exciting time in our lives, but it can also be very stressful for some. Therefore, it is so important to start on the right foot in connecting with others in your campus community, whether your post-secondary learning experience is on campus or online. An excellent way to do this is to become a part of CNASU! Your involvement in CNA’s Student Union will give you the opportunity to network and become friends or colleagues with other students, faculty, and staff at the college. It will also give you the opportunity to be directly involved in planning various events and activities and meeting people from other campuses as well.

Being part of CNASU means members will work with students, faculty, and administration to ensure there's always a safe place for anyone to bring forward their concerns, ideas, interests, or any other matter that may be relevant to the college or the community. There will be many opportunities throughout the year within the CNASU, some of which include fundraising events, planning social events, and projects within the college community, which can allow you a welcomed break from your studies, while still giving you a sense of fulfillment and gaining resume-building experience.

CNASU members work with students, faculty, and administration to ensure a safe, accessible place to bring forward any concerns, interests, or ideas that may be relevant to the college or the community. Throughout the year, you may be involved in events like fundraising efforts, social events planning, and community projects that can give you a sense of purpose and fulfillment outside of your studies.

Becoming a CNASU member will give you a smooth transition into the college lifestyle. Not only will you gain new connections, but it will open many more doors for you. Teamwork, leadership, responsibility, organization, planning, expressing your opinion, and time management are just a few skills that you can expect to develop when you become a part of the CNASU. These experiences and skillsets can then be carried over into your future careers.

If you’re interested in becoming a member of CNASU, reach out to the Student Development Officer at your campus and ask them how to become involved! There is so much opportunity within your local student union, whether it is on a campus level or provincially. The best part of all will be the memories you create and the friendships that will last a lifetime – all while making a difference in your school community.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel welcome to reach out to any of the helpful staff at your campus.

On behalf of CNASU, I hope you all have a safe and happy school year!

Ayush
