Personal Support
At College of the North Atlantic (CNA), health and safety is essential to the success of our working and learning environment. CNA is committed to an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) focused on continuous improvement, sustainability, and growth. The OHSMS will be guided by our core values: excellence, diversity, transparency, respect, and integrity. CNA will make every reasonable effort to eliminate or minimize hazards and protect the well-being of its most valuable resource – its people.
Health and safety is everyone’s responsibility. Sharing the responsibility for health and safety supports and strengthens an internal responsibility system. All employees, students, and any other stakeholders conducting activity within, or on behalf of, CNA are expected to prioritize safety and lead by example.
CNA is committed to maintaining an OHSMS developed in consultation and cooperation with employees, in particular, the Occupational Health and Safety Committees/Worker Health and Safety Representatives/Workplace Health and Safety Designates.
CNA supports a positive health and safety culture enhanced by open communication and leadership.
