Message from the Dean
Graduates of the School of Natural Resources & Industrial Trades are in high demand. This School offers certificate, diploma, post-diploma/advanced diploma, and pre-employment programs with high quality instruction. A wide range of advanced level training is also included in this School.
Programs are designed to be industry responsive and meet labour market demands at home and nation-wide in a broad range of economic sectors.
This School also includes a number of programs that are recognized nationally and internationally, and they provide specialized skillsets that address identified labour market gaps. Engaging with industry stakeholders, academia, and provincial/federal governments, we ensure programs are innovative and relevant, and use the latest technologies.
Work-terms and other experiential learning options provide students with excellent opportunities to share their fresh ideas, talents and knowledge, while putting theoretical learning into practice. This balanced delivery approach ensures our graduates are job-ready!
Did you know? Mining is currently a $4-billion sector* in the province, and employment is expected to more than double by 2025.
