About Our On-Campus Student Residence

CNA's on-campus student residence offers students a comfortable, safe, and inclusive living environment that encourages academic success and personal growth. Residences provide the convenience of living close to classes and campus services, while also helping students build friendships and become part of a supportive community.

For parents, on-campus student residence offers peace of mind - knowing your student has access to secure accommodations, professional staff support, and a living space designed with student safety and well-being in mind.

Types of Housing

College of the North Atlantic offers a range of student housing options to support learners across the province. Depending on the campus, students may access on-campus student residence, community-based accommodations, or off-campus rentals.

On-Campus Student Residence

College of the North Atlantic currently offers on-campus student residence at three campuses:

These residences provide furnished rooms, shared common spaces, laundry facilities, and proximity to classes and student supports. Availability and residence style vary by campus.

Students interested in applying for on-campus student residence should contact the campus.

Off-Campus Student Housing

Students studying at any CNA location can access off-campus rental accommodations in the surrounding community.

Off-campus rentals may include houses, apartments, basement suites, or shared student accommodations. CNA provides guidance, resources, and community links to assist students in finding suitable options.

Residence Life & Student Supports

Living on campus offers more than just a place to stay - it provides a supportive community where students can adjust to college life, meet new people, and access services that help them succeed academically and personally.

Students living in residence have access to:

How to Apply

Students can apply for residence after they have been accepted into a CNA program. Space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so early application is strongly encouraged.

Off-Campus Housing

Students attending campuses without on-site housing may choose to live in the local community. CNA provides guidance on where to look for rentals and tips for finding safe, suitable accommodations.

  • Heating, power, and internet costs
  • Safety and suitability of the rental environment

The student services office at each campus maintains a list of available off-campus student housing accommodations. This list can be viewed below or on each of our campus pages. Students attending College of the North Atlantic in St. John's can apply to stay at Memorial University residence by calling 709-864-7590. Students attending College of the North Atlantic in Corner Brook can apply to stay at Grenfell residence by calling 709-637-6266.
