Information Technology programs are designed to prepare students for a career in the areas of coding, web development, cybersecurity, infrastructure support, network design, and information management. These programs provide opportunities for students to acquire the skills, professionalism and adaptability required to succeed in the dynamic and challenging global IT sector.

Accreditation

Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) is the professional association for Information Technology professionals in Canada and is involved in initiatives relating to public policy, setting standards within the IT profession and assisting its community.

CIPS is a dynamic organization focused on IT excellence through its work on public policy, setting standards within the profession and providing IT support to its community.

Our Information Technology programs also seek accreditation from the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS), which bases its standards on international standards for IT. This includes a code of ethics, body of knowledge and a standard view of the employment requirements for IT professionals. Our curriculum is continuously updated to include the newest technologies while maintaining a solid foundation in the core technologies.

Work Integrated Learning

Work-integrated learning (WIL) is a process used to integrate student’s academic studies through a real work experience or a practice setting. The Information Technology programs provide students with many opportunities to acquire hands-on, practical experience through interactive labs, co-curricular activities, capstone projects and program-related work placements. The work placements for Information Technology students include: Work Term, Co-operative Education and Work Exposure.
