What is MyCreds™?
MyCreds™ was developed by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC) on behalf of member institutions.
MyCreds™ allows you to view, share, and verify your official transcripts in a digitized format. Once your electronic transcript is certified and added to MyCreds, it is official and is accessible through MyCreds™ 24/7. You can then share the document with employers, other institutions, or any third party.

How do I know my documents are secure?
MyCreds™ prioritizes security and privacy to ensure your documents are safe. Here’s how:
- Encryption: Data is encrypted during transmission and storage. This means that only authorized parties can access documents in MyCreds™.
- Authentication: MyCreds™ uses secure authentication methods to verify your identity. You will need to provide valid credentials to access your account.
- Permission-Based Sharing: You control who can access your transcript. When sharing, you explicitly grant permission, ensuring privacy.
- Audit Trails: MyCreds™ maintains logs of document access and sharing. You can review these to track who accessed your records.
- Compliance: MyCreds™ adheres to privacy laws and regulations, protecting your information.
How do I register for MyCreds™?
- Request your official electronic transcript through Student Self-Service (CNA Student Services ), by selecting the Request Official Transcript option under the Enrollment and Grades tile or the Transcript Request Form (if access to Student Self-Service is not available)
- When your request has been processed, you will receive an email notification from MyCreds™
- Follow the steps in the email to register with MyCreds™, set up a password, and access your transcript.
What does it cost to share my transcript in MyCreds™?
Each share credit is $8. You will need to purchase a minimum of 1 share to view your document. Viewing the document will not use up your share. An $8 share credit is required each time you share the transcript.
What is a share credit?
A share credit is a purchased credit that permits you to share a document with a third party (eg: another institution or individual). Each share credit is $8. An $8 share credit is required each time you share a document.
How do I view my new or updated document?
When you sign in to your MyCreds™️ portal, you will see a list of all your documents. Click on the document you would like to open. If this is your first time opening a new document or updated document, you may see a Payment required notice. You must have at least one share credit tied to your document to view it. If you see the Payment required notice, you must purchase at least one share credit. After one or more share credits are purchased, you can open and view your document at any time even after you use the share credit.
Note: If your transcript changes for any reason after the original upload to MyCreds™, you must request to have the most recent transcript added to MyCreds™. Changes are not automatically reflected on existing MyCreds™ transcripts.
Will there be a cost if I just want to view documents on MyCreds™?
You will be able to see that a document is available in MyCreds™ but can only view or share the document after one or more share credits have been purchased. After the initial share credit is purchased, you can view your transcript at any time.
Does opening my document use up my share credit?
Viewing your document does not consume a share credit. Your share credit will stay in your account until you share your document by clicking the blue “Share” button. Viewing does not use a share credit.
Is there a limit to the number of times I can share my transcript in MyCreds™?
There is no limit to the number of times you can share a document. An $8 share credit is required each time you share the transcript.
Will I still be able to view my transcript after I use my share credit?
Once the initial share credit is purchased, you will be able to view your document even after all share credits have been used.
How long does it take from the time I request my transcript to when I can view or share my electronic transcript?
Electronic transcripts are processed and available in MyCreds™ within 1-2 business days of the submitted request*
*Processing time may increase during peak times such as graduation.
How do I share my transcript with a third party?
To share your transcript, log into MyCreds™ select the document you want to share and click the “Share” button (if the button is gray and not selectable, you will need to purchase a share credit). Next, select how you want to share your document:
- Email – this will send an email to the recipient with a link to access your transcript.
- Organization – if an organization is a registered member of the MyCreds™ network, you can select it from a drop-down list. The document is sent directly to the organization’s MyCreds™ portal.
You have full control over how your document is shared - you can designate recipients; specify how long they have access to your document or require them to use a PIN that you set.
Note: If you download the transcript and send to a third-party, the document is no longer considered a secure, official document.
Can I still get a paper transcript?
A paper copy of your official transcript will be issued at the time of graduation and will be mailed to the address on file. Additional paper copies can be requested via Student Self-Service (
CNA Student Services ), by selecting the
Request Official Transcript option under the
Enrollment and Grades tile or by completing the
Transcript Request Form (if access to Student Self-Service is not available).
