Dr. Mike Graham – Director of Special Projects

Dr. Graham began his career with Burin Campus of College of the North Atlantic in 1991 as a Biology Instructor in the University Transfer program. He became Campus Administrator in 2004, and was seconded to full time research in 2011. In 2019 he was appointed Director of Special Projects at College of the North Atlantic. Dr. Graham has over 20 years research experience in horticulture, alternative energy, land-based aquaculture, and climate control in agricultural structures. Dr. Graham holds a PhD in Agricultural Meteorology from the University of Guelph, and is a Certified Engineering Technologist.

Dr. Graham’s research interests include alternative energy and energy efficiency in agricultural structures, as well as in the manipulation of manmade environments, both terrestrial and aquatic. This includes the design of instrumentation and systems required characterize and control these environments, as well as  the relationships between climate and biological processes, particularly as it relates to food production.
