Prepare for management and leadership roles and help shape the future of the tourism industry. The Tourism & Hospitality Management diploma is designed to equip you with the strategic, supervisory and operational skills needed to lead in Canada's tourism and hospitality sector.
In this two-year program, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to manage and grow successful operations in one of Canada's most dynamic sectors. Your first year establishes a strong foundation in customer service, tourism destinations, food and beverage, digital tourism, and sustainable practices. Your second-year advances into the management competencies that employers demand, including marketing, human resources, events management, tourism law and risk management, accounting and organizational behaviour.
Two six-week field placements connect your classroom learning directly to real workplaces, giving you the professional experience and industry connections that matter most when launching your career. You will also graduate with eight professional certifications, including Service First, Food Handler and Indigenous Cultural Diversity Training, arriving with credentials that employers recognize from day one.
With this diploma, you can pursue a wide range of careers across accommodations, food and beverage, events, travel services, recreation and more. - Canada’s hospitality industry comprises services such as lodging, food and drinks service, event planning, theme parks, travel and tourism. It also covers hotels, tourism agencies, restaurants and bars.[2]
- The Canadian Hospitality Market size was valued at USD 20.29 billion in 2025 and estimated to grow from USD 21.34 billion in 2026 to reach USD 27.46 billion by 2031.[3]
- As many Canadians become more confident with travel post-pandemic, they are looking to catch up on much-delayed gatherings and vacations. This has fueled a surge in domestic travel.
