October 18, 2001 - College of the North Atlantic received word this week that 100 per cent of the 2001 graduates of its Respiratory Therapy program were successful on the national Canadian Board for Respiratory Care (CBRC) certification examinations. Successful completion of these examinations is required to work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). All of the graduates have found employment in the field.

Earlier this year the graduates of the Medical Radiography and Diagnostic Ultrasound programs also achieved a 100 per cent pass rate on the national examinations of their certifying bodies and the Medical Laboratory Sciences graduates achieved a 92 per cent pass rate.

The Graduate Employment Follow Up Survey Report released by the College in March 2001 showed 100 per cent employment of its health sciences graduates and a very high level of satisfaction of the graduates with their training.
