The Motorcycle Ride for Dad is the biggest annual motorcycle event dedicated to fighting prostate cancer through research and awareness.
About 140 riders registered for the 2010 ride, the 10th anniversary of the event in Canada. It was the second year that a ride was organized by instructors and staff of Corner Brook and Bay St. George campuses, and they raised $7,500.
The ride started in Corner Brook and stopped in Stephenville to meet up with the riders from the area. It then continued on around Cape St. George, and back to the Bay St. George campus of College of the North Atlantic for a lunch that was prepared by the staff at Cobham’s Hall.
Special thanks to George Chaisson and Dougie Benoit, who provided entertainment, and to Marina MacNeil and Shirley Woodward who donated prizes for a draw.
