On December 7, College of the North Atlantic’s Digital Animation class will be presenting the 2nd Annual Stephenville New Animation & Philm Phestival (S.N.A.P.P.).

“S.N.A.P.P. is a great way for students to have their work seen by a larger audience; a way to take it out of the confines of the college and into the community. The students work very hard on it and it’s always a lot of fun,” said David Gale, a Digital Animation instructor. The “Phestival” will showcase work by the Digital Animation class and also this year short films from the new Film and Video Production program and other media arts programs at Bay St. George campus.

“We’re looking for a larger scope this year and we’re involving other programs such as Music Industry and Performance and Recording Arts to help in the pre-production for sound,” says Glenda Rogers, a second-year Digital Animation student.

Due to the success of the first S.N.A.P.P., student organizers are anticipating an even greater turnout than last year. This year’s event will be held at Clancy’s Pub starting at 8:30 p.m. Admission will be free. So grab some friends and come and enjoy the show!
