College of the North Atlantic (CNA) campuses across Newfoundland and Labrador are excited to welcome prospective students and their families to CNA Day.

CNA Day presents a unique chance to tour campuses, explore facilities, and engage with faculty and staff. Visitors can delve into CNA’s wide range of programs, learn about student services, and get insights into college life. Staff will also be on hand to guide students through the application process and provide details on financial aid.

Jeff Martin, Associate Vice President of Student Services (Interim), highlights CNA Day as an important introduction to the college.

“CNA Day is an opportunity for future students to imagine themselves here, working with the latest technology and learning from experienced instructors,” Martin said. “It’s a day to connect with the community and see what makes CNA an exceptional choice.”

Martin notes that CNA Day is particularly helpful for students with questions or concerns about post-secondary life. Students can meet faculty, inspect the college’s state-of-the-art equipment, and learn about tutoring, counseling, and other supports available to them.

“This day is all about answering questions and helping prospective students feel prepared and supported as they embark on this new chapter,” he added.

Every year, CNA Day receives enthusiastic feedback from both students and parents, who appreciate the firsthand look at college life.

“For many, this experience reassures them that CNA is the right choice,” Martin said.

Nearly 2,000 junior high and high school students from more than 40 schools are already registered for this year’s event, and parents are encouraged to join to help their child explore the best path forward.

This year, students who apply on CNA Day will be entered into a draw for free tuition for one semester. And, of course, plenty of CNA swag will be up for grabs.

CNA Day will take place on campuses across Newfoundland and Labrador today, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and, for those who cannot attend in person, virtual sessions are scheduled for the coming weeks.
