STEPHENVILLE, NL – You may have done a double take when you visited www.cna.nl.ca this week, and for good reason.

A complete redesign of College of the North Atlantic’s (CNA) website has been launched with the aim of making the online experience brighter and better than ever!

For the past several months, the college’s Marketing and Communications Department has been actively developing a visually appealing product that meets several needs when it comes to communicating relevant information as soon as a person visits the site.

“We want our website to reflect the forward-thinking approach the college has to program delivery, we want potential students to have as much relevant information as possible when considering their career path so they can make an informed decision before they click the ‘Apply Now’ button,” said Roger Hulan, CNA’s Manager of Marketing and Communications. “Students want easy access to program information and the services that will be available to them once they enroll at the college – but they also want to know about student life and what it means to be a part of the CNA community.”

At first click, the website home page has many features that convey an enhanced focus on prospective students and their support network. It was felt by designers that it was essential for newcomers to be able to navigate the site and access programs and services with greater ease. Going hand-in-hand with this capability is the fact the new website is 100 per cent mobile friendly. The previous site, which has existed for the past three years, was mobile friendly as well, but was limited in how it could relay information. Now the vast difference is especially noticeable when viewing the site on a phone versus a desktop or tablet.

While the main landing page on www.cna.nl.ca is recruitment-focused, current CNA students also have their own portal to access pertinent information, MyCNA, which includes links to: career resources, student union information, and academic supports to name a few. This new section can be found on the top right corner of the main page.

While the website is live, the work to making improvements is far from over! In the coming months, more features will be added to ensure that prospective students have the most up-to-date information available for programs and other services.
