College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is the first campus for College of the North Atlantic located outside Canada. It will be a full service campus with programs of the same quality and standards as those offered at College of the North Atlantic, including certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma programs, the duration of which range from one to three years.

“These are exciting times as we prepare for the first intake of students for CNA - Qatar for the 2002-2003 academic year,” says CNA President Pamela Walsh.

“Congratulations are extended, on my behalf and on behalf of the college’s Board of Governors, to these College of the North Atlantic faculty members and their families. I’m sure their experience in Qatar will be a rewarding one.”

As part of the 10-year contract between the college and the State of Qatar, CNA will bring its own faculty and internationally recognized programs to CNA–Qatar. The programs will be modified according to the requirement of Qatari culture, industry and business.

In the first year of operation, program options at CNA - Qatar will include Petroleum, Mechanical, and Electrical (Industrial Controls) Engineering Technology; Office Administration, Business Management, Information Communications Technology, and Health Sciences.

The campus, originally scheduled to take in 300 students the first year, will now be accepting a first intake of 450 students in September due to the overwhelming response from prospective Qatari students.
