Mr. Md. Hossen Ali is a full-time faculty member of the School of Natural Resources at College of the North Atlantic (CNA), Corner Brook campus, Newfoundland and Labrador. His work focuses on plant biochemistry, agronomy, sustainable agriculture and food system, extension education, nutrient dynamics and management, precision farming, farm facilities, dairy and poultry production and food safety etc. His research focuses on improving plant performance in peatland and upland ecosystems, environmental stress physiology and plant biochemistry, precision agriculture, sustainable management and conservation of agroforestry systems, characterization of greenhouse spray, agricultural advisory service and knowledge and technology transfer (KTT).
Prior to joining CNA, Mr. Ali worked with the Office of Research and Graduate Studies at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, School of Environmental Design and Rural Development at the University of Guelph, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Winrock International and Khulna University.
He has considerable experience working on various research projects funded by USAID, Kingdom of the Netherlands, UKAID, UN and OMAFRA, etc.
