The campus has population of approximately 100 spirited students, with 20 friendly and professional staff. The rural nature of the campus helps to create a family-type environment, whereby students are given all the supports they need to become successful, while enjoying student life.

Words from your Host

Welcome! My name is Rose Power, and I am the Student Development Officer (SDO) at College of the North Atlantic’s (CNA) Placentia campus.

I completed the Executive Office Management program (online) at CNA in June of 2023. I remember feeling extremely overwhelmed and doubting my ability to keep pace with it all. It’s natural to feel self-doubt but know that there are many services and resources at the Placentia Campus that will not only enable you to excel but enhance your student experience.

As SDO, my responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and facilitating activities like orientation and graduation,
  • Assisting the Student Representative Council (SRC) in improving student life on campus and acting as a liaison with staff, faculty and management,
  • Processing student loans and helping throughout the process where needed,
  • Facilitating the scholarship process

Feel free to drop by my office or contact me at rose.power@cna.nl.ca or call 709-227-6264 with any questions and concerns that you might have. If I am unable to help you, I will direct you to someone who can.

We at CNA pride ourselves on providing a quality education and a supportive environment for our students.

On behalf of the Placentia Campus, I thank you for choosing our campus and look forward to working with you!

Your host
