Salary Information

CG31 - $53,580.80 - $59,532.20 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Alumni and Special Events, the Alumni Affairs Officer supports the coordination and delivery of alumni engagement and advancement initiatives that strengthen connections between College of the North Atlantic, its graduates, students, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of alumni engagement initiatives, including graduation ceremonies, reunions, and spirit initiatives.
  • Facilitate graduate and student engagement activities, including orientation and other transition-focused events, while promoting alumni programming across College campuses and programs.
  • Coordinate and maintain alumni communications channels, including social media platforms, promotional materials, alumni publications, and informational resources.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for alumni relations projects, career and employer engagement activities, outreach initiatives, and maintenance of alumni records and database information. 
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for alumni inquiries received through email, telephone, and social media, providing timely and professional responses. 
  • Provide information to graduates on career-related initiatives and employer engagement activities.
  • Provide support for volunteer and community led activities working with alumni and partners to foster meaningful connections and opportunities to strengthen the CNA community. 
  • Perform other related duties, as required, to support the effective operation of the Alumni department and the successful delivery of related events.

Screening Criteria

  • Diploma in Business Administration, or related field (equivalencies will be considered).
  • Recent, relevant experience in planning, organizing, and delivering programs or events designed to actively involve participants.

Assessment Criteria

  • Knowledge of engagement initiatives and strategies.
  • Knowledge of event planning, coordination and management.
  • Client focused and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize workload while meeting established deadlines.

  • Relationship building skills.

Conditions of Offer

  • When requested by the Employer, a recent and satisfactory Certificate of Conduct must be provided.

Conditions of Acceptance

The position may require occasional travel, as needed, with requirements determined in consultation with departmental management.
