Salary Information
HL26 - $89,981.00 - $116,974.66 per annum. (Subject to a classification review)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the Foundation Committee in setting and executing the annual business plan.
- Build committee capacity and promote best practices to enhance strategic impact.
- Leverage member expertise and networks to drive innovation and strategic advancement.
- Establish accountability measures for sustainable fund stewardship and risk management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align strategies with College priorities.
- Support campuses and departments in alumni outreach, data use, and fundraising efforts.
- Advance Foundation and Alumni relationships through campaigns, partnerships, and advocacy.
- Build and maintain strong networks with industry, alumni, and community stakeholders.
- Lead external engagement strategies to enhance visibility and reputation.
- Foster a culture of philanthropy and coordinated community engagement.
- Provide strategic leadership and team development to meet evolving unit needs.
- Ensure compliance with College policies, donor rights, and CRA regulations.
- Serve as a central point for identifying College needs and securing financial support.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Screening Criteria
- Undergraduate degree in business, communications, marketing, economics, strategic management, or related field.
- Extensive, recent experience in a progressively responsible leadership role within fundraising or corporate/foundation environments.
- Experience designing and implementing programs that promote philanthropy, external relations, and community engagement.
- Experience providing strategic guidance and operational support to a Board of Directors.
- Master's degree in a related field (asset).
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of alumni engagement strategies, fundraising regulations, donor rights, and ethical stewardship.
- Knowledge of designing and leading fundraising campaigns, including securing major gifts.
- Knowledge of building strategic partnerships to support philanthropic goals.
- Ability to plan and deliver donor and alumni events, campaigns, and recognition initiatives.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and data analytics to guide engagement and fundraising decisions.
- Ability to lead others.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
