Salary Information
CG41 - $74,456.20 - $87,815.00 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Promotes the mandate, goals, objectives and programs of the Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA) Network regionally and nationally.
- Provides regular business counseling to existing and potential new MICA members by acting as the first point of contact for all MICA Network inquiries regionally.
- Conducts project management and account monitoring of approved MICA projects regionally.
- Acts as the college's advisor on innovative technologies that can be adopted by the mining sector to support a more productive and sustainable industryprovincially, regionally and nationally.
- Provides advice and support to CNA and MICA on economic and technological developments important to the strategic development of the regional mining ecosystem.
- Meets with MICA Members to identify business development and commercialization requirements and with technical project proponents and partners as a member of the MICA team.
- Represents CNA for the MICA Network.
- Plans, prepares, coordinates, and facilitates/delivers various workshops and events supporting an innovative mining sector for CNA and the MICA Network.
- Attends project meetings to assist with determination of business support requirements.
- Assists in the preparation and implementation of network business development activities.
- Reports on business development progress activities from demonstration to initial implementation to commercialization for innovations.
- Participates in the organization, planning and implementation of MICA Network activities nationally.
- Effectively and accurately communicates relevant project information internally and externally.
- Prepares detailed reports, briefing notes, discussion papers, and proposals for the College.
- Encourages, manages and monitors the engagement of CNA students on MICA related projects and activities.
Screening Criteria
- Undergraduate Degree in a Business Administration field, Innovation Support, regional/community economic and/or resource development or related field (equivalencies will be considered).
- Experience supporting business development, technology adoption, resource development or innovation services, or similar activity.
- Good understanding of the regional and national mining sector ecosystem (asset).
- Bilingualism (asset).

- Knowledgeable about organization/network development strategies and social, economic, business, technological and resource development issues facing the mining sector.
- Knowledge of project management, and consultative work and professional business and membership analysis.
- Ability to effectively exchange information.

Conditions of Offer
