Salary Information
CG29- $50,250.20 - $55,819.40 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an Organizational Budget Analyst, you will play a key role in helping the College manage its finances effectively. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting day-to-day financial planning and decision-making.
- Preparing biweekly salary forecasts to help keep budgets on track.
- Creating monthly financial updates for assigned campuses.
- Reviewing financial data to spot trends, risks, or areas that need attention.
- Handling financial transactions like requisitions, payment requests, travel claims, and invoices-making sure everything is accurate, properly coded, and follows College policies.
- Reviewing weekly campus activity reports to catch any issues early and help guide future planning.
- Offering financial insights to support budget development and year-end projections.
- Acting as a go-to resource for campus managers and other staff-answering questions, explaining financial processes, and helping everyone stay aligned with College guidelines.
- Working with different departments to solve problems, improve processes, and find ways to be more efficient.
- Helping build and monitor annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
- Contributing ideas to improve how the College handles financial reporting and planning.
- Occasional travel within the province may be required to meet with campus staff and provide onsite financial support.
- Performing additional duties as required.
Screening Criteria
- A Diploma in Business Administration (Accounting focus) - equivalencies will be considered.
- Related experience working in an accounting environment.
- Experience in budgeting (asset).
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices.
- Knowledge of budgeting (asset).
- Knowledge of accounting and spreadsheet software.
- Analytical skills.
- Ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
