Salary Information
CG24 - $42,442.40 - $46,737.60 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving and procurement: receive and inspect incoming materials and supplies, ensuring compliance with established accounting and procurement procedures; and assist in maintaining accurate records of all fixed assets and preparing required inventory reports.
- Inventory management: oversee and maintain the daily inventory of supplies required for campus operations, ensuring all departments have access to necessary materials in a timely manner.
- Asset management: maintain and update the inventory records for all College of the North Atlantic assets located at the Labrador West campus; and perform quarterly inventory counts for both the general asset inventory and bookstore stock.
- Retail and resale operations: manage the of sale of items, including textbooks, tools, and supplies, through a computerized point of sale (POS) system; and ensure pricing and stocking are accurate and efficient to meet student and staff needs.
- Cash and credit control: handle daily cash and credit transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation of sales; and prepare and print daily cash reports.
- Administrative systems and support: utilize the PeopleSoft system for tracking and following up on outstanding purchase orders; and provide additional support services including operating the campus mailroom, scheduling courier services for all departments, and ensuring efficient flow of materials and correspondence.
- Other related duties: perform other duties related to the efficient operation of the campus, as assigned by the supervisor to meet the evolving needs of the institution.
Screening Criteria
- Certificate in Office, or Business, Administration (equivalencies will be considered).
- Recent and relevant work experience in receiving, stocking and shipping materials.
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of receiving, procurement, and inventory management principles.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft (asset).
- Asset management.

Conditions of Acceptance
- May require moderate physical activity as part of daily responsibilities, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials; loading and unloading deliveries; and performing routine tasks such as stocking, shelving, and operating point-of-sale systems.
