Salary Information
CG41 - $74,456.20 - $87,815.00 per annum
Duties and Responsibilities
- Address day-to-day questions and concerns from library staff.
- Mentor new staff.
- Act as a team liaison and report issues to the Director of Student Services and Supports.
- Develop subject/resource guides and video tutorials tailored to specific academic disciplines.
- Develop, deliver, and assess provincial library services programs and/or initiatives for the college community.
- Manage the online chat service.
- Offer copyright support and education.
- Analyze user behavior data and lead initiatives to improve library services and resources to enhance the user experience.
- Participate in strategic planning and implementation on an organizational level.
- Participate in college committees and working groups.
Screening Criteria
- Master’s of Library & Information Science Degree (equivalencies will be considered).
- Relevant experience working in a library setting.
- Supervisory experience.
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of library operations management particularly as it relates to reference services and information literacy instruction.
- Knowledge of library services platforms (SIRSI or related program) and other computer applications.
- Organizational/time management skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Client service focused.

Conditions of Acceptance
- This position provides flexibility in location, with consideration being given to candidates requesting to work from any one of our campuses throughout the province.
- This position may occasionally work evenings and weekends as needed.
