Salary Information

HL17 - $60,211.00 - $78,274.16 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure student placement requirements are met through efficient support, monitoring, surveys, and regular feedback.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with privacy, legal, and risk protocols, and oversee training and policy adherence.
  • Recruit, train, manage, and evaluate the Health and Community Services Placements team, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensure efficient Clinical/Practicum processes, and address operational inefficiencies with stakeholders.
  • Log, track, and resolve incidents promptly, addressing recurring issues with preventative solutions.
  • Track sensitive information, analyze HSPnet© data for trends, and set KPIs for service improvement with management.
  • Act as liaison between the team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of policies and updates.
  • Plan resources for HSPnet© programs, develop team skills, and improve service delivery.
  • Promote skill development, develop SOPs, stay updated on trends, review tools, and monitor affiliation agreements.
  • Support innovation in HSPnet programming, set measurable goals, and establish long-term team objectives.

Screening Criteria

  • Undergraduate degree in health sciences or health related field of study.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience working in an educational setting with healthcare related programming.
  • Experience and knowledge of the HSPcanada.net© software would be an asset.
  • Experience and knowledge of Canadian Accreditation requirements and processes would be an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

  • Operational Management: Competency in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes for health service & community placements.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Understanding of legal, privacy, and risk management protocols, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and mitigating compliance risks.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Skill in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Competence in analyzing data, tracking performance metrics, and utilizing insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Resource Planning and Allocation: Proficiency in planning and allocating resources effectively to meet the needs of health service & community placement programs.
  • Conflict Resolution & Process Improvement: Ability to resolve conflicts and identify inefficiencies, recommending improvements to optimize workflows and enhance service delivery.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clear, consistent, and timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make decisions that address operational challenges and improve processes.
