Salary Information
CG-33 - $57,093.40 to $63,499.90 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities
- This is a front-line human services position dedicated to delivering comprehensive, high-quality support to individuals seeking access to employment programs and services.
- Ongoing case management responsibilities and the assessment of clients' initial and continued eligibility for services.
- Conduct needs assessments to gather information on clients’ employment history, education, and career goals, identify any barriers to employment, and determine initial and ongoing eligibility for employment programs and services.
- Develop individualized employment action plans to help clients achieve long-term job stability and provide ongoing case management, including regular check-ins and progress tracking.
- Assist with resume and cover letter writing and provide interview preparation and job search strategies.
- Guide clients in career decision-making and job maintenance strategies and support clients in accessing job placement opportunities.
- Connect clients with funding sources for job training, education, or employment-related needs and refer clients to other community services that may support employment readiness (ie. childcare, transportation assistance, mental health services).
- Deliver group or individual workshops on job search skills, career development, and employment readiness.
- Track client progress and conduct follow up sessions to assess job retention and address ongoing employment needs.

Screening Criteria
- Diploma in Business, or Social Sciences (equivalencies will be considered).
- Related experience in employment services, career counselling, social services, and/or workforce development.
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of client service delivery practices.
- Knowledge of the local labour market.
- Knowledge of career development (asset).
- Case Management skills.
- Client focused and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Organizational skills to coordinate services and achieve program outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Building effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Communication skills.
