Salary Information

HL23 - $80,407.00 - $104,528.92 per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to campus and College business planning, including budget processes, by identifying and integrating operational, facility, and administrative priorities.
  • Oversees daily operations of campus facilities, such as the bookstore, cafeteria, and daycare.
  • Collaborates with Information Services (IS/IT) to manage technology access, services, training, and issue resolution.
  • Ensures procurement aligns with College policies through centralized procurement functions.
  • Provides guidance on policies related to budget planning, finance, human resources, health and safety, and administration.
  • Supports campus staff in promoting operational excellence, continuous improvement, and resource stewardship.
  • Collaborates with the Facilities Department to oversee campus maintenance, including contracts, security, snow removal, and cleaning.
  • Manages campus vehicle fleet maintenance, repair, and inspections.
  • Ensures inventory control of campus resources.
  • Leads campus committees on Health and Safety, Emergency Preparedness, ensuring compliance and issue resolution.
  • Leads or participates in working committees, including Collective Bargaining and evaluating administrative policies.

Screening Criteria

  • Post-secondary degree with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration or commerce.
  • Recent experience in administrative services.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Assessment Criteria

  • Knowledge of administrative, operational, financial, and facility management functions (budgeting, accounting, procurement, etc.).
  • Leadership abilities to motivate, guide, and support teams in achieving organizational goals.
  • Project management skills to efficiently prioritize and allocate resources.
  • Familiarity with contract administration, procurement, and facilities management.
  • Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety and Emergency Preparedness.
  • Communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and deliver quality client service.
  • Interpersonal skills to support internal clients and coordinate services with a client-focused approach.
