Salary Information

CG33 - $30.75 - $34.21 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • College of the North Atlantic (CNA) works with a wide range of stakeholders including governments, post-secondary institutions, industry associations, community organizations and economic development groups, as well as provincial and federal government departments and agencies.
  • Reporting to the Manager of Communications and working closely with the social media team and the School of Natural Resources and Industrial Trades, the Women in the Trades Community Network Coordinator will be responsible for CNA’s participation in the localized project supporting the national ConnectHER: Mentorship Program for Women in the Trades.
  • This position will establish a local Women in Trades Community Network that will serve as a hub for women and gender-diverse individuals working in Red Seal trades.
  • Promote the recruitment, retention and support of 100 Newfoundland and Labrador women working in Red Seal trades.

Screening Criteria

  • Diploma in Public Relations, Communications, and/or Journalism (equivalencies may be considered).
  • Recent, relevant experience in a similar role.

Assessment Criteria

  • Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram).
  • Knowledge of current graphic design, and other software, packages.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Word Press, Adobe Creative Suite, virtual meeting platforms.
  • Technical knowledge of video/audio devices, video content, lighting techniques.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
