Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and conduct research involving multiple sources of data collection, in-depth analysis, and preparation of complex reports (in a wide range of formats) for centralized academic workforce planning, academic planning, academic program resource allocations, program training capacity, program/course level enrolment and program proposals.
- Design and conduct complex comparative analyses and prepare detailed analytical reports on a broad range of dimensions pertaining to academic workforce planning, academic planning, and associated resource allocations.
- Maintain and enhance a comprehensive system of information management activity and associated documentation in collaboration with the supervisor.
- Create, maintain, manipulate, and query large databases and information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) to extract information required for internal and external reporting.
- Research and prepare complex analytical reports from datasets crossing multiple functional areas including academic, finance and human resources.
- Cross-reference multiple sources of data analysis to provide reports that are highly complex, accurate, complete, and consistent.
- Collaborate with multiple departments and management to review, verify and update data required for various academic projects.
- Design and implement policies and procedures to support a variety of integrated academic workforce assignments and inform strategic decision-making.
- Develop and deliver orientation and training to staff on procedures and reports that must be implemented in various departments.
- Apply professional analytical methods and procedures to a variety of integrated academic workforce assignments.
Screening Criteria
- Completion of a degree in Business or Social Sciences (equivalencies will be considered).
- Experience in quantitative research methodologies and reporting.
- Experience using computer programs and applications such as Microsoft Excel and PeopleSoft.
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of data collection methods, statistical analysis, and effective planning approaches.
- Knowledge of report structures, data integrity and complex data management.
- Knowledge of computer programs and applications, including PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to manage time and organize tasks to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
