Salary Information

CG28 - $48,029.80 - $53,180.40 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Audio-Visual Specialist (AVS) is an integral member of the Information Technology team at College of the North Atlantic’s Prince Philip Drive and Ridge Road Campus.
  • Coordinates all audio-visual equipment located at the Prince Philip Drive Campus and Ridge Road; performs professional digital photography for college events.
  • Converts various forms of media using appropriate hardware and software.
  • Coordinates and provides supports for smart classrooms technology which includes overseeing security.
  • Ensures that the equipment is working properly.
  • Maintains the inventory of the audio-visual assets.
  • Coordinates equipment bookings; performs other related duties and responsibilities.

Screening Criteria

  • Diploma in Information Technology or computer-related field. (equivalencies will be considered).
  • Relevant and recent experience providing audio visual services.
  • Maintaining Inventory of audio-visual equipment (asset).

Assessment Criteria

  • Knowledge in the operation, training and maintenance of audio visual equipment, including smart classrooms.
  • Knowledge in supervising and audio visual services.
  • Advance Computer Skills.
  • Effective Communications.
  • Ability to manage time and tasks.
  • Client Services.
  • Ability to work independent with limited supervision.
