Salary Information

CG26 - $44,662.80 - $49,431.20 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide cashiering services including: receive payments on accounts, review account information with students, complete daily cashier reports, prepare bank deposits, process refunds etc.
  • Provide cashiering service for Contract Training (CCL) at the Corner Brook campus.
  • Prepare invoicing for childcare center.
  • Accept childcare center fees/subsidies/grants.
  • Complete petty cash requests.
  • Use various software suites, including Microsoft Office and Peoplesoft
  • Supporting CCL courses and programs (in a back up capacity) by registering students in course offerings, accepting payment, quick admitting the students, coordinating with companies to register employees in training and receive details for invoicing, gathering course material, creating course files etc.
  • Providing backup for the CCL Clerk as needed; which may require duties such as ordering and maintaining adequate materials and supplies and ensuring invoicing and entering participant data into Workplace NL's online system in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as required.

Screening Criteria

  • Diploma in Office Administration (equivalencies will be considered).
  • Recent, relevant experience in a similar role providing administrative support.

Assessment Criteria

  • Knowledge of general administrative/clerical support functions
  • Knowledge of computer applications and software
  • Knowledge of financial transactions procedures (cash handling, petty cash, refunds, bank deposits etc).
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft (asset).
  • Organization skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to multiple changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to effectively exchange information.
  • Effective working relationships with students, staff, managers.

  • When requested by the Employer, a recent and satisfactory Certificate of Conduct must be provided.
  • Verification of credentials and applicable licenses, certifications, and/or professional memberships as required for the position.

 

  • Credentials obtained outside of Canada will require an evaluation to determine their Canadian educational equivalency. This evaluation must support the educational requirements for the position.
