Salary Information

CG27 - $46,373.60 - $51,287.60 per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To support increased applied research activity within CNA’s Office of Applied Research and Innovation (OARI), College of the North Atlantic is seeking applications from qualified applicants for the position of Clerk IV.
  • Submitting and tracking requisitions for the OARI and applied research projects.
  • Ensuring complete documentation for procurement.
  • Submitting and monitoring researcher, staff and student hiring documentation including new position Requests for Employment (RFEs).
  • Submitting personnel and student time on applied research projects; entering and monitoring payment requests.
  • Answering and directing student inquiries on PeopleSoft - HR and IT Footprints tickets related to applied research projects.
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the OARI by performing clerical and administrative tasks, such as responding to and directing inquiries.
  • Booking meetings, travel requirements, documentation filing, meeting agendas and minutes, occasional event logistics, and correspondence drafting.

Screening Criteria

  • Completion of Office Administration/Business Administration Diploma (Equivalencies will be considered).
  • Experience with Administrative practices (preferably in a post-secondary education or applied research environment).
  • Experience with Peoplesoft (Asset).

Assessment Criteria

  • Knowledge of administrative practices
  • Knowledge of MS. Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with CNA policies and procedures (asset)
  • Effective Communications.
  • Ability to manage time and tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize.
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships (team oriented).
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

  • Verification of credentials and applicable licenses, certifications, and/or professional memberships as required for the position.
