Salary Information
Salary will be determined in accordance with the Faculty Collective Agreement, based on the candidate's education and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for instructing courses to students enrolled in a variety of programs.
- Plan and deliver course objectives.
- Evaluate and assess student learning.
- Organize and manage instructional materials and the learning environment.
- Provide academic advice to learners relating to their programs and courses.
- Conduct accreditation reviews.
- Perform other related as required.
Screening Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in the Sciences.
- Bachelor of Education (Secondary or Post-Secondary)(asset).
- Equivalencies may be considered.
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledgeable of the fundamentals of Science and Computers.
- Understanding of classroom management and instructional techniques currently being utilized in a teaching and learning environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs of students.
- Proficiency and/or a willingness to embrace teaching and learning technologies to support the student learning experience.
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with other faculty and staff.
- Commitment to teaching excellence and to supporting and delivering a positive student learning experience.

- Credentials obtained outside of Canada will require an evaluation to determine their Canadian educational equivalency. This evaluation must support the educational requirements for the position.
