2023 Young Alumni Award

Rachel Winsor

Rachel Winsor exemplifies resilience and community leadership. Already a two-time CNA graduate, Rachel demonstrates her unwavering commitment to continuous learning and personal growth. Her previous achievements include a diploma in Executive Office Management and a certificate in Welding. Rachel was the first female in Canada to be awarded the Joseph G. Doria Exemplary Student Award which is a national award from the CWB Welding Foundation.

As a Client Care Coordinator at CareGivers NL, she ensures client well-being. Through volunteerism, she strives to better her community. At present, she is a board member of Burin Peninsula Brighter Futures, advocating for the healthy development of young children. She has also served as President of the CNA Online Student Council. Rachel's accolades and awards are a testament to her exceptional contributions. Among her many honors, she has received the Fry Family Foundation Achievement Award, two CNA Faculty and Staff Achievement Awards, and the distinguished Newfoundland and Labrador Student Volunteer Award. She lives in St. Lawrence, NL.
