This program offers a basic introduction to the exciting field of prospecting and mineral exploration. It consists of two components: an online asynchronous (self-paced) theory course and a field practical course. The program offers instruction in basic prospecting methods and an opportunity to engage in a hands-on practical to gain experience in field work. Individuals should possess a minimum level of computer skills and an interest in being outdoors.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the program, participants will:
- Have the knowledge and practical skills necessary to safely engage in activities related to prospecting.
- Will qualify for designation as genuine prospectors under Regulation 13 of the Mineral Regulations 1143/96.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Participants must be at least 19 years of age.
- English language proficiency (TOEFL paper based 550, IELTS Academic Test overall band score of 6.0, or the equivalent).
