CNASU Message

Darlene Ireland Dear Students,

Welcome to College of the North Atlantic (CNA)! My name is Darlene Ireland, and I’ve had the honour of serving as your CNA Student Union (CNASU) President for the 2024–2025 academic year. As a graduate of the Business Management (HR) program and someone who made a career shift later in life, I know firsthand how transformative the college experience can be, no matter where you’re starting from.

CNA is more than just a place to study. It’s a network of students, staff, and communities that genuinely care about your success. Whether you’re attending classes on campus or learning online, you’re part of something bigger here.

CNASU is your voice in our college community. It’s made up of student leaders from CNA campuses across the province, working together to advocate for your needs, build stronger student supports, and create events and opportunities that help you feel connected.

If you’re looking for ways to develop your leadership skills or make a difference at your campus, I encourage you to get involved. Reach out to your local Student Council or Student Development Officer and ask about how you can participate, whether through your SRC or CNASU itself.

On behalf of CNASU, I wish you a year full of growth, support, and success. Never underestimate the power of your voice, and know that when students come together, we can accomplish great things.

All the best,
Darlene Ireland
CNASU President 2024–2025
