Awards and bursaries awarded at Gander campus

Students enrolled in several industrial trades programs at Gander campus received a number of awards and bursaries on October 10.
 
David Gardner of St. John’s, Stephen Halley of St. John’s, Eddie Bixby of Gander, Patrick Lemieux of Gatineau, Quebec, Sally Stratton of Ladle Cove, Fahad Khan of Bangladesh and Jade Marshall of Goulds were the recipients of the Rockwell Collins Entrance Award for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Technician program. Each award is valued at $1,200 and is presented to learners entering AME based on academics at the high school level.
 
Calum Francis of Happy Valley Goose Bay and Okanda Boms of Nigeria received the Rockwell Collins Entrance Award for the Aircraft Structural Repair (ASR) Technician program. Each award is valued at $850 and is given to learners entering ASR based on academics at the high school level.
 
Ashton White of Stephenville and Oscar Cruz Santibanez of Mexico were the recipients of the Rockwell Collins In-program Bursary, awarded to second-year AME students. Each award is valued at $1,200 and is based on both financial need and good academic standing.
