What is Stay SMART?

Strategies for Mindful Academic Readiness Training

Stay SMART is a program which consists of a series of virtual sessions that combine 3 components to help build skills for resilience and confidence: Learning Strategies/Competencies Skills; Mindfulness Strategies; and Strategies for Belonging and Inclusion. These three components have been identified as Canadian colleges best practices and the Canadian Labour Market analysis which helped us identify the top 20 most sought-after skills across hundreds of thousands of job postings across industries. Many of these in demand skills have been incorporated into this innovative program.

Sessions will take place virtually in the evenings and are facilitated by subject matter experts from CNA. By enrolling in this program, students must complete all modules and associated work to be eligible to receive a digital badge in Leadership, which will be represented on their transcript.

Stay SMART is only available to currently enrolled students of College of the North Atlantic.
