Rick joined the College of the North Atlantic team in 2003 and has over 20 years’ experience applying GIS and Remote Sensing Technology in his roles as a researcher and full-time instructor in the GIS Post Diploma Program and part time roles in the Orientation to Trades and Technology, Forestry and Fish and Wildlife Technician programs.
Rick has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Memorial University majoring in Physical Geography, a GIS Certificate from the College of Geographic Sciences and a Programming Certificate from University of Washington. He specializes in GIS Analysis, Spatial Data Collection, Systems Integration and GIS Programming.
He has worked on dozens of GIS projects including Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) work in Alaska, superfund cleanup sites in Boston, UAV Technology demonstration projects and countless GIS analysis projects in his support of over 100 graduates of the GIS Post Diploma Program.
