Jeff is a versatile professional with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Physics, complemented by a Bachelor's in Education. After teaching physics at the post-secondary level, he transitioned into the mining industry, gaining hands-on experience. His educational background and industrial experience form a solid foundation for his current role as a leader in the Mineral Processing Lab at the Baie Verte CNA campus.
In recent years, Jeff's focus has evolved to encompass a broader range of expertise, including reality capture techniques such as photogrammetry and LiDAR, as well as GIS and full-stack software development. His unique skill set enables him to foster strong relationships with local industry partners in the Baie Verte region and beyond. He is actively engaged in research partnerships and collaborative projects, driving the growth and development of the Office of Applied Research and Innovation. Jeff is committed to advancing mining practices through cutting-edge technology and cross-disciplinary collaboration, ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future for the industry.
