Salary Information
CG26 - $45,554.60 - $50,414.00 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Clerk Typist III provides essential clerical and administrative support to the College of the North Atlantic's Ridge Road Campus. This front-line role is responsible for a wide range of duties that ensure efficient campus operations and excellent service delivery:
- Act as the first point of contact for students, staff, and the public, responding to inquiries in person, by phone, or email, and providing accurate information on admissions, programs, services, and campus procedures.
- Provide clerical support such as drafting correspondence, preparing reports, scheduling, and handling communications.
- Perform data entry and document tasks using software such as PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office, and other database systems for word processing, spreadsheets, and document preparation.
- Maintain accurate student records in both physical and electronic formats, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with College policies.
- Process admission applications, register students in programs and courses, and ensure all required documentation is complete and verified.
- Record student grades in PeopleSoft, compile and verify academic reports, and prepare official documents, including transcripts, certificates, and confirmation letters.
- Prepare sponsor letters, create invoices, and process student loan certificates following College and government guidelines.
- Perform additional administrative functions as required to support the efficient operation of the campus.
Screening Criteria
- Diploma in Office Administration (equivalencies will be considered).
- Relevant experience in a similar role providing administrative support.
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of general administrative support functions.
- Knowledge of computer applications and software packages.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft (asset).
- Ability to effectively exchange information.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to prioritize workload while meeting established deadlines.
