Raj is a faculty member in CNA’s School of Engineering Technology and Natural Resources teaching primarily in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Technology Programs. He has been awarded the 2017 Teaching Award from the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL). During his 24-year career as a faculty member in CNA’s School of Engineering Technology and Natural Resources, Mr. Jani has made significant contributions to the learning environment for engineering technology students; has played a leadership role in the ongoing maintenance, development and evolution of engineering technology programs; and has been an exemplary CNA ambassador for community outreach, particularly as it relates to the engagement of youth in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). In addition Mr. Jani has worked with several small and medium sized engineering businesses in Newfoundland and Labrador assisting them with process improvements, innovative solutions and introduction of new technologies as they try to compete in the global market place. All the industry projects have included student involvement which gives graduates from the College relevant industrial experience.
