High school students to get first-hand look at CNA programs

College of the North Atlantic (CNA) will open its doors to the public on Thursday, November 4, for its 7th annual College Day.

High school students, their parents and members of the public are invited to learn more about the college’s programs and services through campus tours, presentations, and demonstrations.

“This is a valuable opportunity for potential students to explore their options when it comes to post-secondary education,” says the college’s Manager of Student Recruitment and Enrolment Services Shirley Woodward. “This year’s 10 per cent enrolment increase is a strong indicator that students are seeing the value of our programs which can provide them with the credential they need to find a job.”

Once again, funding is available to offset the cost of busing high school students to the nearest college campus. Applications for that funding have been mailed to high schools in each campus’ catchment area.

College Day is one of CNA’s major annual recruiting events, and takes place each fall at all 17 campuses across Newfoundland and Labrador.
