Four College of the North Atlantic (CNA) teams are currently participating in the Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE) Students in Free Enterprise National Exposition (SIFE) in Calgary, Alberta. The teams (represented by four presenters) will be competing against more than 40 other college and university teams from across Canada.

The CNA SIFE teams involved are from the Bay St. George, Clarenville, St. John’s (Prince Philip Drive) and Grand Falls-Windsor campuses.

The Clarenville team has already won second place in the Campbell’s Soup “Let’s Can Hunger” project awards. This award goes to SIFE teams that participated in Campbell’s challenge to create projects that have significant affects on reducing hunger in Canadian towns and cities.

The annual ACE exposition brings together industry, educational and student leaders from across Canada. The foundation of these expositions is the competitions among the student teams. Through written reports and presentations of team success stories, students are evaluated by industry leaders serving as judges, based on the economic opportunity they created for themselves and their communities.
