November 24, 2009 - College of the North Atlantic (CNA) is supporting CBC’s annual Turkeys for Christmas Drive again this year.
The turkey drive will run from Monday, November 23rd until Thursday, December 24th in support of local food banks. Members of the public, as well as faculty, students and staff at all 17 CNA campuses throughout the province are encouraged to participate by dropping off a frozen turkey at each of the campuses.
Paul Tilley, Business instructor at the Clarenville campus and volunteer supporter, believes the drive is of great importance to the college and the people of our province.
“The CBC Turkey Drive has been a phenomenal success over the past few years and the participation of the people in the 17 campuses of the college from St. John’s to Labrador City has sure helped make the drive truly provincial in scope – we all want to ensure that as many people as possible, no matter where they live enjoy a Christmas turkey.”
The college will have a website page set up to follow the donation totals of both the college and CBC as the fundraiser advances.
