CNA campuses to host privacy sessions

As part of Right to Know Week (Sept. 28- Oct. 2), the Bay St. George and Corner Brook campuses of College of the North Atlantic will be holding information sessions for staff, students and members of the public.

The Bay St. George session will take place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30 in the Lecture Theatre of the DSB Fowlow Building. The Corner Brook session will take place on at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 in the lecture theatre at that campus.

Guest speaker for the sessions is Suzanne Orsborn, an investigator with the province’s Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner.

The purpose of Right to Know Week is to raise awareness about people’s right to access government information, while promoting freedom of information as essential to both democracy and good governance.
