Well Newfoundland’s seal hunt is in the news yet again – but this time it’s for something funny.

Students in College of the North Atlantic’s Digital Animation program have created a short animated video entitled Shame of the North Atlantic.

In this satirical short, the European Union Broadcasting System’s celebrity fashion correspondent, Kurt Slandertool, delivers a shocking expose on clubbing juvenile seals in the North Atlantic.

Shame will be the lead item at this year’s Nickel Independent Film Festival taking place in St. John’s from June 23-27.

The video can also be seen on You Tube.

The Digital Animation program is offered at the college’s Bay St. George campus in Stephenville. There are still seats available for students to take this program for September. Those interested can find more information on the college’s website – www.cna.nl.ca – or by calling the Bay St. George campus at 643-7730.
