October 28, 2004 – Due to the success of College Night last year, College of the North Atlantic (CNA) has expanded the concept and will implement a full day of information and activities for the public.

The upcoming College Day taking place on November 4, will still offer evening sessions but will also incorporate other activities throughout the day, including campus tours, program demonstrations, displays and refreshments for visitors. Parents, high school students, guidance counsellors and the general public are invited to take in the day’s activities and evening information sessions.

Sessions will provide information on the many aspects of post-secondary education. Ways to Fund Your Education, Programs and Services, Application and Admissions Processes, and So They Want to Go to College are some of the topics being presented.

Shirley Woodward, Manager of Student Recruitment and Enrollment Services, says the College is extremely excited about College Day.

“This recruitment initiative provides a forum for students, potential students and parents to gather the information they need to make informed decisions about post-secondary education. It is also an opportunity for us to discover first-hand what it is that our prospective students need from us to help them do just that.”

In keeping with Canada Career Week, College Day will be held every year during the first week in November.
