CNA students win Steele Communications scholarships

Danielle Boone of Grand Falls-Windsor, a second-year Music Industry and Performance student, and Jeremy Strickland from Point May, a second-year Recording Arts student, are winners of the Steele Communications Scholarship for $1,000 each. The awards are administered through the Music Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, and are awarded for attaining the highest academic standing in their respective programs. CN Scholarship for Women

Scholarship winner Colleen Fagner (centre) is presented with the monetary award of $600 and a certificate of congratulations by Placentia campus ADA Darrell Clarke. Also included in the picture are her instructors and some of her Heavy Equipment Service Technician classmates.

The CN Scholarship for Women is a special initiative designed to encourage women to seek careers in trades, technology and operations, therefore promoting employment equality in Canada. Students had to complete a one-page essay demonstrating their desire for a career in trades, technology and operations, and a letter of reference.

Student receives provincial scholarship

Congratulations to Trevor Stacey, second-year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering student at Gander campus. Trevor received the Centenary for Responsible Government Post-Secondary Scholarship, donated by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador for achieving the highest marks in his program. The scholarship is valued at $1000.

Student wins instructor scholarship

Hurley, a second-year Office Administration student at Bay St. George campus of College of the North Atlantic, was awarded the scholarship for the highest overall average in the first year of the program.
