November 6, 2003 – College of the North Atlantic (CNA) is updating its website, inviting submissions from the public for new and innovative web design concepts. The prize for the winning design is $2,000.

The contest begins on Monday, November 10, 2003, and is open to eligible designers who are 18 years or older at the time of entry, or designers under the age of 18 who provide written consent of a parent or legal guardian with their entry. Entries must be submitted by Friday, December 12, 2003, no later than 4 p.m.

Kevin Baker, chair of the college’s Web Steering Committee, says the change has been coming for some time.

“The college has been developing a work plan for revitalizing various aspects of our website for the past two years,” Baker says.

“We realize that the esthetics of our website is one thing that requires improvement, and we’re giving students and communities an opportunity to be a part of this positive change.”

The contest includes design only, and does not require the designer to implement changes to the website. The winner will be notified by telephone, electronic mail, or facsimile at the option of College of the North Atlantic on or around January 17, 2003.

Submissions may be entered on compact disc or through email.
