CNA-Q celebrates 8th annual graduation

 College of the North Atlantic’s (CNA) international campus, College of the North Atlantic-Qatar (CNA-Q) celebrated its eighth graduation ceremony in Doha, Qatar June 25. CNA-Q’s Class of 2012 comprised 248 graduates including Qatari nationals and representatives from 25 other countries.
 
CNA President Ann Marie Vaughan joined Dr. Ken MacLeod, CNA-Q president; Professor Sheikha Al-Misnad, president, Qatar University; The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Child, Youth & Family Services, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador; college executive; faculty and families in congratulating the Class of 2012.
 
This year saw 248 students graduate from four program areas including: Health Sciences, Engineering, Information Technology and Business Studies. Graduates represent programs ranging from Office Administration to Mechanical Engineering Technology, Environmental Health Technology to Computer Support Specialist.
 
In addition to their certificates and diplomas, 24 students were presented with the President’s Medal for Academic Excellence. This award is presented to the student in each program area with the highest grade point average (with a minimum average of 3.5 out of 4.0).
 
CNA-Q’s graduating class joins over 3,000 contemporaries at College of the North Atlantic as part of the Class of 2012.
