MX2415 - Patient Care I

This course is designed to provide the student radiographer with the necessary knowledge to provide effective patient care in a variety of situations that they may encounter in the hospital environment.  This course emphasizes fundamental concepts in general patient care, body mechanics, basic nursing skills, use of common drugs, venipuncture, oxygen administration, suction technique, as well as caring for patients with special needs.  Students will also receive instruction in the fundamentals of first aid, basic life support, mental health, and personal wellness.
